Information and Application
Project Grants support large humanities and interdisciplinary projects that build relationships across the Dartmouth community: symposia, conferences, workshops, lecture series, etc. The Leslie Center Advisory Committee considers applications from Dartmouth faculty members with projects whose budgets range from several thousand dollars up to $20,000, unless very unusual circumstances warrant a larger award.
A link to the Project Grant Application is at the bottom of this page.
The Leslie Center Advisory Committee meets once a month, excluding December, July and August. Applications should be submitted at least two months prior to the date of the event or activity for which funding is being requested so that the Advisory Committee has sufficient time to consider them. Preference is generally given to applicants who have not recently received substantial Leslie Center funding and/or have not already received Center funding for similar projects. The Advisory Committee reviews all proposals and may offer comments or suggest revisions to some proposals that it regards as potentially viable. Project grant recipients are asked to acknowledge the support of the Leslie Center for the Humanities in any publicity.
