Lifelines: A Poetry Share

The Leslie Center for the Humanities introduces a new biweekly event to inspire connection with our community.

Beginning with the summer term, the Leslie Center for the Humanities introduces a new community event, "Lifelines: A Poetry Share." This biweekly gathering will take place on Tuesdays from 4:30 to 5:30pm, with Dartmouth students, fellows, faculty and staff sharing poetic works (written, oral, aural, visual) such as favorite poems or original writing as a way to connect and to inspire. Each event, a new group of readers will share their choices. We invite all Dartmouth artists, poets and poetry enthusiasts to contribute as readers or to join us as listeners.

The second Lifelines event will take place Tuesday, July 14th, 4:30pm. If you are interested in participating as a reader, please write to us at humanities.center@dartmouth.edu. Readers will be given a slot on a first come, first served basis, and if there is not room for everyone the first week, you will be invited as a reader the following week, and so on. If you are interested in attending the event as an audience member, you may RSVP to humanities.center@dartmouth.edu. Everyone interested in joining the poetry share as a presenter or as a member of the audience will receive a Zoom link from the Leslie Center prior to 4:30pm on Tuesday.

Weekly reminders will be sent out to the Dartmouth humanities community.
