The Anthropocene Reading Group and the Environmental Humanities Initiative invite Professor Axelle Karera of Emory University to present her article.
On Thursday, February 18th at 4:00pm (via Zoom) Professor Alex Karera, Professor of Philosophy at Emory University, will talk about her article “Blackness and the Pitfalls of Anthropocene Ethics,” published in 2019 in the special issue on “Race and the Anthropocene” of the journal Critical Philosophy of Race.
Professor Karera’s work is situated “at the intersection of 20th century continental philosophy, the critical philosophy of race (particularly Black critical theory), contemporary critical theory, and the environmental humanities.”
