Free Screening of "The Resurrection of Victor Jara"

The film’s producer, Juan Carlos Vallejo will be joining us to discuss the film and its creation, alongside a discussion with Professors Peter DeShazo and Jorge Cuéllar (LALACS)

You are cordially invited to a special screening of the documentary,The Resurrection of Victor Jara. The film’s producer, Juan Carlos Vallejo will be joining us to discuss the film and its creation, alongside a discussion with Peter DeShazo (Visiting Prof, LALACS and GOV) and Jorge Cuéllar (LALACS).

 

"Following his death, most of his music disappeared from public view, in the face of severe political and cultural repression. The film explores this period of resistance leading to the eventual reemergence of Victor's music and his resilience in the collective memory"  (cinelasamericas.org)
