Vocal Performance Lab: Rhapsody

An evening of Arabic song, verse, and music with Yasmine Abouali '26, Bo Farnell '26, John Rieling '26, Prof. Mokhtar Bouba, and Henry Danaher '08.

With Yasmine Abouali '26 (voice), John Rieling '26 (poetry recitation and translation), Bo Farnell '26 (guitar), Mokhtar Bouba (oud, Lecturer, Middle Eastern Studies Program), and Henry Danaher '08 (piano). Featuring Arabic song accompanied by guitar, Arabic poetry and English translation accompanied by oud, solo instrumentals for oud, and a trilingual finale. 

Post-concert discussion with the performers: "Arab Culture in Music and Verse," to be followed by an informal reception with Arabic coffee, baked goods, and sweetmeats.
