Please join us in honoring and remembering Enzo La Hoz Calassara this Monday, March 9th, at 5 p.m. at a vigil outside the Shattuck Observatory. Enzo’s brother, Luca, and girlfriend, Aslı, will speak, followed by a performance by The Dartmouth Sings, Enzo’s a cappella group, and a reading of one of Enzo’s original poems. After the vigil, One Wheelock will be available as a space to share our memories of Enzo and come together as a community.

This gathering is an opportunity to share our love for a person who loved so readily and expressively. Enzo’s affection for his people poured out of him in his lyricism, his soulful voice, and the way he spoke so highly about his loved ones to anyone who would listen. Enzo took regular moments and turned them into memories, breaking into song and getting everyone to harmonize (or, better yet, whipping out his harmonica), teaching taekwondo in the middle of rehearsals, and asking questions that he would remember your answers to months down the road.

So many of us at Dartmouth were positively impacted by Enzo’s light. It is a blessing to be able to come together in remembrance of Enzo and support for one another, so please join us in honoring his memory.
