Najwa Mayer is a Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. She earned her PhD in American Studies at Yale University. Her research areas include visual and cultural studies, critical race and Asian American studies, religious studies, and feminist critique, focusing on US-based and transnational Muslim cultures. She is a fellow with The Leslie Center for the Humanities and with the Consortium of Studies in Race, Migration, and Sexuality at Dartmouth.
