Rebekah Compton, Associate Professor of Art History at College of Charleston, will present a lecture that dives into the virtues and vices of pigments in the 15th and 16th centuries in Italy, looking at the trade, circulation, and value of the sources of color. This talk is co-sponsored by the Hood Museum of Art and the Department of Art History at Dartmouth.
