La Casa Advisor Maria Clara de Greiff, along with La Casa UGA Alexander W. Cotnoir, Spanish Lecturer Maria Elena Gonzalez and students from Fuerza and CO-Fired planned a series of events entitled: Understanding Social Justice, Approaching and Embracing Diversity. The events will provide an opportunity for students and community members to understand and learn about different aspects of social justice in a variety of contexts. Scholars engaged in fields ranging from journalism to activism will bring their perspectives to facilitate dialogue on how to approach social justice, understand the immigration phenomenon and the multi-faceted immigrant experience.

In "Documenting Migrant Care and Transnational Justice Across the Americas", Pablo Domínguez will present the Ecologies of Migrant Care website, a digital platform hosting over 100 video interviews with migrants, activists, artists, academics, journalists, and other relevant actors working in favor of migrant and human rights on the Central and North American corridor.

Understanding Social Justice. Approaching and Embracing Diversity is sponsored by Spanish and Portuguese Department, Living Learning Communities, Dartmouth Center Forum, Dartmouth 250th and Leslie Center for the Humanities.
