Department of Music: Bassoon Master Class with John Steinmetz

John Steinmetz, Los Angeles based bassoonist, will be offering a master class at Dartmouth College.

John's teaching generally begins with a question: "What do you want to work on?" For this class each player sets the direction of the work, so that it focuses on current desires, roadblocks, frustrations, or aspirations. Any issue is welcome:  technique, expression, practice, collaboration, talking to the audience, facing challenges, teaching and learning, finding fulfillment.
