Publishing in the Humanities

Tom Lay is Acquisitions Editor at Fordham University Press, where he has worked for the last decade.  He acquires in literature, continental philosophy, cultural anthropology, and political theory. He manages the Press’s translations program and has served as principal investigator for the Modern Language Initiative, a recently-completed Mellon grant that has funded more than 100 first books at five university presses.  His own field is early modern English literature, but he enjoys having the chance to work across such a wide range of disciplines and conversations.
